Remember sweet little Ellie's newborn session?  Well, now Ellie herself is a big sister to a brand-new little BROTHER!

Sweet little Bennett is like a little Ellie-twin...the same precious lips, same cheeks, same eyes, same facial expressions.  He slept like a champ for most of the session, given the fact that he was born a bit earlier than his older sister.  I got in as many cuddles as I could with this sweet little peanut...I am so completely smitten with that face!

I was so especially delighted in the lifestyle part of our session.  Totally spontaneous, charming moments - just pure love!  It actually made me a little emotional at times...Bennett is one incredibly loved baby.

I Heart Faces Photo Challenge: Best Face of 2012

"Photo Challenge", indeed!  I photographed so many beautiful faces throughout the year that it's quite difficult to narrow it down...

 But few faces make me smile as big, and tug at my heart more, than that of my sweet little niece Marilyn that was born this year.  Her smile is like a thousand sunbeams.  Her eyes are full of such life and mischief.  I never believed in "Love at First Sight" until the moment I saw her sweet, tiny newborn face.  I love this sweet little girl so, so much.

Hello, fans!  Hope everyone is having a very joyous and blessed holiday season!

It's been such a busy time for me this Christmas season, both personally and professionally.  I would like to share some of my favorite images from the holidays - enjoy, and Happy New Year!

ClickinMoms Photowalk 2012 (Downtown Ann Arbor, MI)

WOW!  What a turnout at this year's ClickinWalk, hosted by ClickinMoms!  Between close to twenty attendees and six models, it was a very busy photowalk!

It was SO much fun to meet and mingle with fellow photography enthusiasts, and know that I can talk 'till I'm blue in the face about "bokeh", and what our favorite lenses are (and why)...yet I don't have to worry about boring them to sleep. ;)

One of our local heroes - Brian, aka "The Michael Jackson Guy".  This dancer is a familiar sight to those around Ann Arbor, and brings a smile to many a face around here.  Hardly anyone who has passed by Graffiti Alley (off of Liberty St, across from Necto's) on a weekend night and NOT seen "The Michael Jackson Guy".  On any given weekend - rain or shine, day or night - he can be found dancing in Graffiti Alley to some of Michael Jackson's best hits.

 One of the many things I love about Ann Arbor is that there is creativity literally oozing out of its streets.  The colorful artwork isn't limited to just Graffiti Alley.  It can also be found in chalk form throughout what is known as "The Diag" (basically a very, very long diagonal sidewalk that stretches across the central campus of the University of Michigan).

Many, many thanks to all that attended and made this ClickinWalk a success!  And special thanks to Jenn Gamet of Jennifer Gamet Photography for helping me co-lead the Walk and seek out our gorgeous models!

Sweet, precious baby Devyn...seven pounds, four ounces of complete perfection. :)

 

He was such a dreamy baby to work with...while he was awake for a good portion of the session, he was such a good, quiet, easygoing little bubba.  And no worries; he still gave us a generous share of "sleepy shots", too.  Oh, I just loved photographing this teeny tiny little baby.

I'm going to be honest.  I've always been somewhat of a skeptic of "Love At First Sight".  I love my husband, but even that wasn't Love At First Sight.

But the minute I first laid eyes on my brand-new niece Marilyn, when she was just a few hours old, I knew exactly what Love At First Sight was, and how it felt.

She is the very first of a new generation on all sides of our families.  It's marveling to gaze at her perfect little face, and see the family resemblances.  How she smiles like her mother (and has her amazing cheekbones), how she purses her lips like her daddy, how she furrows her brow like my sister. I can even see myself in her; the above picture looks A LOT like my own hospital newborn picture.

Marilyn is such an easygoing little baby.  She slept like a champ throughout her entire "official" newborn session, barely ever making a peep.

Marilyn, thank you for blessing me with your life.  You truly are amazing, just the way you are.  I love you SO, SO much.
